There is a well worn trail that leads from hiking to scrambling to rock climbing to Scottish winter climbing to alpine mountaineering to climbing in the greater ranges. I followed that trail at a modest level with friends as a means in itself (i.e. a rewarding pastime) and as a means to take some paths less trodden.
In this episode I recall my experiences on an attempt to climb a rocky alpine peak called the Leiterspitzen. With a backdrop of imposing alpine 4000 metre mountains it is barely noticeable in its own right, but that does not mean it is not challenging.
I hope you enjoy this episode.
